A few ways to think yourself happy.

1. Let go of the past

If you're still upset about something that happened years ago, it will stop you from being happy. Whether a close friend let you down or you made a mistake you regret, learn to forgive others - and yourself. What's done is done, you can't undo the past, but you can channel your energy toward what matters now and the present.

oh well, i guess its true. Must keep drilling this in my head.


2. Live in the moment

Take time to enjoy your family or indulge in a long conversation with a close friend. Be thankful that you woke up to another brand new day. Appreciate your good health. Develop a childlike sense of wonder for life. Author Henry Miller said, "Every moment is a golden one for him who has the vision to recognise it as such."

Yes, its a brand new day today.


3. Manage your priorities

If something is not quite right in your life, do something to sort it out. Happy people tend to be more in control of their lives and are likely to be proactive in solving problems quickly. Know what's important in your life and what can wait; do first things first.

YEAH. GOAL : Manage my company well so I can prove to others I am worth it.


4. Get Healthy

Good health is like a booster shot of happiness. So take care of your mind, body and spirit. Eat healthy and exercise - research has shown that just 20 minutes of daily exercise can boost your mood, thanks to "happy" endorphins that are released in the body during exercise. Also, challenge your mind by trying new things, or find spiritual meaning to your life.

SEE. I MUST START EXERCISING QUICK. YOGA HERE I COME! :D


5. Take responsibility for your life

The freedom to choose is the cornerstone of happiness. No matter how bad the situation, you have the choice to decide how you want to respond to it. If someone yells at you, what would you do? Yell back, causing things to turn uglier, walk away or speak calmly, diffusing the situation?

ok i have to work really hard on this. especially towards my mum. :(

6. Beware of small things

Often, it's the small things that add up to rob you of happiness. Do you always have thoughts that undermine your self-worth? Remember, we average 60,000 thoughts a day, 95% of them are out of habit. Learn to identify your thoughts and then question negative and unhelpful ones.

yes i have low confidence in myself.
and i always tell my partner. It's the small things that counts.
I have justified myself.



7. BE TRUE TO YOURSELF

Know who you are and what you want from life. Stop caring too much about what others think. When you are true to yourself and don't try to live up to expectations of others, you will find peace and contentment.

I agree. I will work hard towards this.
However, I think we mustn't be too full of yourself in this part.
So must balance. *nod



8. Invest in close relationships

According to studies, people in relationships are generally happier than those who are not. That's because humans are social beings. And only through relationships can we love and be loved. So to find true happiness in life, build your relationships.

Oh wells, I only can agree to that to a certain extent.


9. Be willing to grow

Ever felt the thrill of or pride in learning something different or adapting to a new situation? The process of learning or taking on new challenges is essential for happiness, because being happy means not staying a rut.

One phrase : IF YOU DON'T TRY, HOW YOU KNOW IT WONT WORK?


10. MAKE OTHERS HAPPY

The more you help others, the happier you'll be. Walk the neighbour's dog, volunteer for a worthy cause, help your nephew with his homework. Selfishness breeds happiness. So pay it forward and you'll reap what you sow.

TOTALLY AGREE. but how come most of the times I'm being taken for granted?
maybe I did it a wrong way.
